How Many Faces Do You Wear

Ever hear of a Sunday Christian?

Surely you have but in case you haven't let me tell you what it is.

A Sunday Christian is one that will "ACT" like a Christian on Sundays (or while in the presence of other Christians) but when out in the secular world, the Christianity seems to disappear.

Got some news for ya.

Jesus knows your heart and soul and you may find that the only one that you are fooling is only yourself.

Whatcha gonna say to Jesus when you meet him face to face. "Lord, I was a good man. I went to church"?

- KJV Matthew 7: 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

What do you think his response might be? "So, you were a good man...a Christian every week for only a few short hours". Folks, it is all or nothing. You are either a Christian or you are not and God knows your heart. I will tell you something to try doing and see what happens.

While you are at work, give it your all for your boss while he is watching you. When he isnt watching you, do all of the things that you know he would not allow to go on in his office. You could probably pull this off for a while but sooner or later, it is going to catch up with you.

Get used to the way you act while the boss isn't looking then one day, go to work and tell your boss just how much you like working for him then act as if he wasn't there while he is watching you. Chances are that you won't make it working at that job for very long if you allow your boss to see the "real" you.

You can not hide from God on any day of the week and if you are a "Sunday Christian" then you may as well not be a Christian at all. Being a Christian is a full time job. No breaks, no time off, no vacation from Christianity. You can fool people in this world but you are never going to pull the wool over God's eyes.

- KJV 1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

If you think that you are then you are a fool and chances are that you do more damage than good for God. People that know you proclaim to be a Christian yet see your actions not being that of a true "full time" Christian will only consider you and all Christians as hypocrites.

2 Corinthians 2:15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

Why don't you just nail Jesus to the cross again, spit on him, mock him and while you're at it, slap him a few times. That is exactly what you are doing by leading a false Christian walk and you would do the cause of Christianity alot more good by not proclaiming to be a Christian in the first place and go on about your evil ways.

- KJV Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.

The Lord takes this seriously and if you proclaim to be a Christian on any day of the week, you had best proclaim to be a Christian every day and act the way that you know you are supposed to. Jesus wants you in His flock but if you are not a good sheep, you will hurt His flock more than help them. it is if you are diseased.

and a shepherd will destroy a diseased member of his flock to save the rest.

A lot of times it seems that this type of person is the first one to point out any fault that a true Christian may have with their Christianity without knowing if this may be a problem area of your life that you are truly working to correct. Jesus understands that we are not perfect and he does allow for us to correct our ways as the bad things become apparent to us.

Remember this. While pointing your finger at a person for doing wrong, take a look down at your hand. What do you see? Three of your own fingers pointing directly back at yourself. If you want to insist on being a heathen then dont go pointing out the faults of anyone else because I will tell you right now, you are no better than they are.

It is so easy to go into a Christian channel or room on chat and say the things that you know people want to hear and it is also easy for you to leave that room and go to another and act as a heathen does. Some may go so far as to even change their nick or even go to a different server to change your face.

It isn't going to work....

Sure...you may be happy in this life but when the great day comes, get ready for the gates of hell will be wide open for you. You will be welcomed with open arms by satan.

- KJV Ephesians 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4 Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

It isn't the actions that you show in front of other Christians that is going to make you a Christian...it is your heart and if your heart isn't right with Jesus, He does have a place for you to spend eternity and it will not be with Him.

Go ahead and keep fooling those at your church. Keep fooling all of those around you. Keep on fooling yourself but you are not going to fool Jesus and He will deal with you when the time is right.

If you turn your life over to the Lord then that is exactly what he is expecting...your life, not just the part of your life when you are being observed by others. If you have truly turned your life over to Him, there are going to be times that you will be standing on your own with the nail scarred hands of Jesus on you for protection and for the right words to say.

As a Christian, you will be involved in a full life of witnessing whether it be by words or actions, you will be a witness to the Father. This is nothing that you should joke about. It is real and if you are one of these people that are fooling yourselves, you had better get down on your hands and knees right now and ask forgiveness for your actions.

You better get with the truth of Christianity and profess it in every area of your life on every day of your life irregardless of who you are associating yourself with...you are a witness by your words and your actions.

Listen, I am not judging anyone, pointing any fingers or trying to act as if I am holier than thou. I will be the very first one to admit right here that I have still got some scraps to get cleaned off of my plate and as i continue in my walk with Jesus, I will always be finding something else in my life that will become apparent to me and I will have to work at it to get it corrected.

None of us are perfect and when you stop trying to make your life one that will please the Lord even more, your relationship with him is in trouble. It is a life long struggle of being fine tuned for your eternal life.
