Finding Peace

Peace is a comfort that comes from within. We can always find peaceful moments doing things like hiking in the woods, soaking in a hot tub, the peace and quiet found only in the mornings shortly before the rest of the house is awake. Each of these moments can define peace for some and each of us either have or have had places, times and even moments of peace in our own life.

The one common thing about all of these forms of peace, regardless of what it is, it is temporary. As soon as the hike or the soak is over and just as soon as the house starts to wake, that peace fades. The farther we get away from one of these times the less peace we feel in our life.

There are times when we receive a hard blow from life. Family, work, school and so much more can interfere with a peaceful life and can quickly snowball into a situation where we might wonder if there is really any peace left for our life.

What we need is to harness this peace and have it during the stressful times that we find ourselves in. Whether it be at work, school or driving from one to the other there are stress points that all of us face each and every day. By dealing with these stress points and preparing for them in advance we can deal with them in a peaceful way. Most times things are just handled better if dealt with while remaining at peace during the ordeal.

God has afforded us a method to tap into this peace. This method allows us to have this peace with us at all times, day and night, 24/7, 365 days a year. It cost nothing but is priceless. All that is required of you is faith. Enough faith to put away your old ways and embark on a new life filled with peace and grace..

This is not a scheme to make your problems all go away. It isn't going to keep bad things from happening in your life. This is a peace that will allow you to deal with these problems in life without all of the chaos.

God never promises that bad things will never happen. His promise is that when they do He will be there with us. He will soothe us when we hurt and will rejoice when we are well.

By learning things about God and the peace that He has made available to us we will be able to carry this peace right along with us into all facets of life and beyond.
